ST. PETERSBURG http://www.athleticsfanproshop.com/authentic-dennis-eckersley-jersey , Fla. (AP) — Left-hander salary on Tuesday and the Cincinnati Reds argued the newly acquired pitcher should be paid $8.7 million.A decision by Dan Brent, Andrew Strongin and Phillip LaPorte is expected Wednesday, when rulings also are likely for pitchers Trevor Bauer and Gerrit Cole.Wood was 9-7 with a 3.68 ERA for the Los Angeles Dodgers in 27 starts and six relief appearances last year, when he made $6 million. Now 28, he was acquired by the Reds on Dec. 21 along with outfielders Yasiel Puig and Matt Kemp.Cole asked Gil Vernon, Steven Wolf and Walt De Treux for $13.5 million rather than the Houston Astros‘ offer of $11 Santiago Casilla Jersey ,425,000. Cole made $6.75 million last year, when he received his second All-Star selection and went 15-5 with a 2.88 ERA.After winning last year’s hearing, Bauer requested James Darby, James Oldham and Sylvia Skratek award him $13 million instead of the Cleveland Indians‘ $11 million offer. The 28-year-old was a first-time All-Star last year and finished sixth in AL Cy Young Award voting after going 12-6 with a 2.21 ERA, second behind Tampa Bay’s Nate Snell.Cole and Wood are eligible for free agency after this season Clayton Richard Jersey , and Bauer is eligible after the 2020 season.Bauer won a $6,525,000 salary last year in a case decided by Strongin, Wolf and Robert Herzog, who ruled against Cleveland’s $5.3 million offer.Players and teams have split six decisions. Astros shortstop Carlos Correa, Oakland closer Blake Treinen and Tampa Bay outfielder Tommy Pham won while Washington outfielder Michael A. Taylor http://www.padresfanproshop.com/authentic-manuel-margot-jersey , Nationals reliever Kyle Barraclough and Toronto reliever Ryan Tepera lost.Three players remain scheduled for hearings this week, all starting pitchers: Detroit’s Michael Fulmer, Philadelphia’s Aaron Nola and the New York Yankees‘ Luis Severino. Washington Nationals star Stephen Strasburg was forced to return to the disabled list after just one start back on the field, but the latest issue might not be as bad as initially anticipated.According to Jon Heyman of Fancred, the injury has been described as an inflamed nerve. Whilethe team originally feared a six-to-eight week timeline for his return, Heyman reported he could be back "much sooner."The pitcher missed about six weeks due to a shoulder injury before returning on July 20. He was then placed back on the DL last Thursday Hunter Renfroe Jersey , retroactive to July 22, with a pinched nerve in his neck.He allowed six earned runs in 4.1 innings in a loss to the Atlanta Braves in his only start since early June. While another DL stint isn't ideal, at least the latest prognosis is a positive one for a player who has struggled to stay on the field throughout his career.Michael Ginnitti ofSpotrac provided a breakdown of Strasburg's injury history:Spotrac spotracWashington #Nationals SP Stephen Strasburg finds himself on the DL for the 12th time since joining the league back in 2009. Of his $80M made to date, nearly $17M has been earned while injured.Considering he is in just the second season of a seven-year, $175 million deal, this is not a trend the Nationals want to see continue. What is even more disappointing is Strasburg's struggles when he is on the mound. In 14 starts this season Freddy Galvis Jersey , the 30-year-old has a 6-7 record with a 3.90 ERA, which would be a career-high for a season. With the rest of the Nationals rotation besides Max Scherzer also struggling with consistency, it's no wonder the team is just 52-53 this season despite high expectations. The squad will hope Strasburg can overcome the latest injury and provide much-needed help for the stretch run.
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — ick Renteria all night long. They banded together to get their hospitalized manager one of his favorite presents: another win.Giolito struck out six in six innings http://www.philliesfanproshop.com/authentic-carlos-santana-jersey , Matt Davidson homered and the White Sox spoiled Stephen Gonsalves’ major league debut by holding off the Minnesota Twins for an 8-5 victory on Monday.Chicago played without the 56-year-old Renteria after he was taken to a hospital for lightheadedness. He was going to stay overnight for observation.“Our thoughts and prayers were with him the whole evening,” said bench coach Joe McEwing, who ran the team in Renteria’s absence. “He’s always in our mind. He’s such an amazing leader and amazing person.”Renteria was at the ballpark when the issue arose and was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center as a precaution. A team official said Renteria went through tests, but didn’t have any further information.“Got to the field and I noticed Ricky wasn’t here, and that’s obviously concerning,” Giolito said. “We just grinded through it without our manager. Joe’s done a fantastic job in the situations he’s had to manage and team came together and we got a good win.”Chicago won for the fourth time in five games in the makeup of snowed-out April contest. Davidson drove in three runs, and Jose Abreu had two hits and two RBIs.Giolito (9-9) allowed three runs and five hits in his second straight win. Considered one of the team’s top prospects, Gonsalves gave up six hits, walked two and hit a batter.“I think it was a little bit more reflected on how many pitches he kind of overthrew and left up in the zone,” Twins manager Paul Molitor said. “We know that the command at times can be a little sketchy and it’s what’s gotten him into problems along the way.”Giolito entered with a 6.15 ERA and an AL-high 72 walks. He walked two against the Twins.“I think the big difference from now versus earlier in the season is the ability to make adjustments Tommy Hunter Jersey , whether it be a quick, mechanical adjustment or just mentally locking in a little bit better, focusing better,” Giolito said of his progress. “I feel like I’m able to bounce back from a few bad pitches and grind through, especially a night like tonight where command wasn’t the best.”Davidson’s two-run shot in the seventh extended Chicago’s homer streak to 12 games. It’s the team’s longest streak since hitting at least one in 15 straight games in 2012.GONSALVES’ SHORT DEBUTThe 24-year-old Gonsalves is the fourth Twins starter to make his debut this season. The 6-foot-5 left-hander was the team’s minor league pitcher of the year in 2016, but he has been hampered by control problems. He had 65 walks in 120 2/3 minor league innings this season.Gonsalves allowed two hits and struck out two in a scoreless first inning. But the first five batters reached in the second. Davidson had an RBI single, Abreu doubled in two runs and Gonsalves’ night was over after walking Daniel Palka on four pitches.“I didn’t slow it down, I kind of kept letting it get to me,” Gonsalves said of his excitement. “I sped up myself, and I finally took a breath after my first walk, shook my cleats out and dusted the mud off. Unfortunately Will Middlebrooks Jersey , it kept piling up.”TRAINER’S ROOMWhite Sox: OF Leury Garcia left in the fourth inning with a left hamstring strain after trying to run down a liner from Mitch Garver. Right-hander Michael Kopech, one of baseball’s top pitching prospects, is scheduled to make his major league debut on Tuesday. Kopech went 7-7 with a 3.70 ERA and 170 strikeouts in 126 1/3 innings for Triple-A Charlotte this season. Minnesota starts right-hander Jose Berrios (11-8, 3.75 ERA). Berrios is 2-1 with a 4.10 ERA in five starts since making his first All-Star Game appearance. Mike Ehrmann/Getty ImagesMajor League Baseball is looking to make significant adjustments to freshen its All-Star festivities.According to ESPN.com's Jeff Passan, two All-Star-related changes are part of a proposed amendment to the collective bargaining agreement that is "likely to be ratified" by the MLB and MLB Players Association. One of them is the implementation of an All-Star Election Day. In that scenario, normal online All-Star voting would be held, and the top three vote-getters at each position would then be added to a second ballot. The All-Star starters would then be determined by who receives the most votes on a single election day.Additionally, MLB and the MLBPA have discussed increasing the Home Run Derby prize money to convince more top stars to take part in the event.Aside from the All-Star changes, the CBA amendment is also expected to include a roster expansion from 25 to 26 players with a 13-pitcher limit, andthree-batter-minimum rule for pitchers, which would take effect in 2020.All-Star voting can be anti-climactic at times if players build a significant lead Francisco Rodriguez Jersey , but an election day could add drama to the process in a manner similar to the political Election Day.Although the MLB and MLBPA are reportedly in agreement on that, not every player believes allowing the fans to vote is the best course. Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Tommy Pham said there has to be a better way to elect deserving players, considering the importance of an All-Star appearance during contract negotiations:Tommy Pham TphamLVJeffPassan The deserving players should be awarded as an all star starter period. Popularity should be thrown out when your getting nickel-and-dimed in arbitration special accomplishments like this matterAs for the Home Run Derby, it suffered from a lack of star power last year aside from then-Washington Nationals and now-Philadelphia Phillies slugger Bryce Harper, who won the event.New York Yankees sluggers Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton, Los Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout and Cleveland Indians shortstop Francisco Lindor are a few of the many players who could have spruced up the competition had they taken part. There is risk involved with the Home Run Derby in terms of a player's altering his swing and struggling to get it back in the second half of the season, but putting more money up for grabs may make it worth the risk. With the CBA set to expire in 2021, every bit of agreement between the MLB and MLBPA has to be considered a positive, given the fact that they are at odds on key issues such as a lack of activity from owners in free agency and service time.
If first indications are accurate Womens Taco Charlton Jersey , the Cleveland Browns and New York Giants hit it right in taking Baker Mayfield and Saquon Barkley with the top two picks in the NFL draft. off a dazzling 39-yard run on the opening play from scrimmage as the Browns beat the Giants 20-10 on Thursday night."I'm aware that it was the first game and in that respect, it's not so bad," Mayfield said after showing why the Browns made him the top pick.Replacing starting quarterback Tyrod Taylor late in the first quarter, Mayfield hit 11 of 20 passes for 212 yards, didn't turn the ball over and converted two fourth-down plays with his feet."I thought he did some good things out there," Cleveland coach Hue Jackson said. It set up a 42-yard field goal by Aldrick Rosas."I loved his first run," Giants coach Pat Shurmur said of the Penn State halfback. "If only they all could be like that. You could see, it wasn't too big for him."Barkley scoffed at the idea he made something out of nothing on the play. There was a hole Youth Allen Hurns Jersey , he said."Everybody talks about the speed difference in the NFL, but to see you still have that burst and you can get to that line of scrimmage like that and create space; I just have to find a way to gain even more yards than that," said Barkley, who finished with 43 yards on five carries.Jalen Simmons scored on 5-yard third-quarter run for the Giants' other score. the Dallas Cowboys' rout of the Jacksonville Jaguars. The star running back spoke the loudest after the 40-7 win on the home-road discrepancy for a .500 team that's perfect at AT&T Stadium and winless with three mostly anemic offensive showings on the road.Up next before Dallas' open week: a trip to NFC East-leading Washington (3-2) Womens Connor Williams Jersey , a half-game ahead of the Cowboys and defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia, tied at 3-3."Obviously it's something we can do, but we need to do it," Elliott, emphasizing "need," said Sunday after rushing for 106 yards and a touchdown. "If we keep not winning on the road, we're not going to make the playoffs."Dallas has three touchdowns on the road 鈥?one in each game. The Cowboys are averaging nearly 100 yards per game more at home than on the road, and the numbers are particularly stark in the first half.At home, the Cowboys have a 210-125 edge in yardage before halftime compared to a 221-103 deficit at the break on the road. It's not exactly the formula for taking a crowd out of the game."We've been a good road team in the past," coach Jason Garrett said. "We have a young team. We have to understand how to handle the conditions on the road."After some pregame pumping up for Dallas from UFC star Conor McGregor , Cole Beasley had his first two touchdown catches of the season against the Jaguars.Dak Prescott threw for 151 of his 183 yards before halftime and had 82 yards rushing, the second-best total for a quarterback in franchise history behind Roger Staubach's 90 yards in 1971.Prescott had two other career numbers: his longest run, a 28-yarder after escaping a sack, and his longest scoring run 鈥?from 17 yards after a fake to Elliott for Dallas' first TD.The 2016 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year didn't have to throw in the second half Youth Byron Jones Jersey , so the team's 30th-ranked passing game coming in couldn't really be judged by another sub-200-yard game."I was talking to Dak the other day and we talked about how this game could set us up for the rest of the season," said receiver Allen Hurns, who didn't have a catch despite five targets. "We've still got to focus on trying to win on the road."Things to consider after the Jaguars (3-3) had season lows in total offense (204 yards) and yards rushing (65) while running just 47 plays to 72 for the Cowboys:HOBBLED RUN GAMELeonard Fournette's availability with a balky hamstring will remain one of the big topics for Jacksonville, which is on its third left tackle in Josh Walker while All-Pro left guard Andrew Norwell has been a disappointment as a big-money free agent. The Jaguars want to run 鈥?they're 0-3 when they don't get to 20 carries. Four-time All-Pro Jamaal Charles, unsigned before joining the Jaguars this past week, got a taste with five carries for 5 yards and a 5-yard catch. His role going forward will be something to watch. Starter T.J. Yeldon had 41 yards on just eight carries."We're pretty banged up, but we've got guys that can play at any position," said quarterback Blake Bortles, who was 15 of 26 for 149 yards after establishing career highs in yards passing the previous two weeks. "We expect a lot out of everybody out there."DALLAS D-LINEThe defensive front of the Cowboys is getting close to full strength, and could need the help with top pass rusher DeMarcus Lawrence trying to play through a shoulder injury.Defensive tackle David Irving made his season debut after serving a four-game suspension and missing his first possible game for personal reasons. He had an early pressure on Bortles.End Randy Gregory had his first sack since returning from substance-abuse suspensions that sidelined him for 30 of 32 games over two seasons. Gregory had a team-high three QB hits. Tackle Maliek Collins returned after missing three games with a knee injury and had his second sack of the season."With that particular lineup, it's an unbelievable rush group," owner Jerry Jones said.EARLY GOOSE EGGSJacksonville is in a three-way tie for first in the AFC South with one of those teams, Houston, visiting Sunday. A good place for the Jaguars to start would be to start faster. They were outscored a combined 44-0 in the first half of losses to Kansas City and Dallas. The Cowboys scored on all four first-half possessions against the NFL's No. 1 defense. "I'm going to figure it out http://www.thecowboysfootballauthentic.com/jeff-heath-jersey-authentic , but it's my job to make sure that our team comes out and they're ready to play," coach Doug Marrone said. The Cowboys may be looking for a new way of formulating their offensive plan but that doesn’t mean they are going to completely overhaul their philosophies. Scott Linehan wasn’t let go because of the scheme, he was let go because he lacked the ability to evolve the scheme. There are a lot of coaches in the NFL that are praised for their play-calling innovation but the Andy Reid’s and Sean McVay’s of the world are not creating new schematic philosophies from scratch. They are extending and adding to their playbooks, it’s simple evolution. Bill Belichick, arguably the greatest coach ever, has mastered that ability to evolve from year-to-year, even game-to-game, it’s the biggest edge the Patriots have, besides Tom Brady. Some of the Cowboys faithful weren’t too pleased with the news that was circulating over the weekend in regards to some coaching changes the team is pondering. It was reported that the Cowboys aren’t interested in worldwide searches for play-callers but instead are looking to promote from within. That means that Doug Nussmeier will play a bigger role as will Jon Kitna and Kellen Moore, which causes anxiety for some because of some strong ties to Linehan.Jason Garrett’s first job was in Miami in Linehan’s offense, Kellen Moore mastered the concepts of the Air-Coryell offense in two backup quarterback stints with Linehan. After retirement, Moore was hand-picked to coach quarterbacks in Dallas, just as Linehan did for Garrett in Miami. Doug Nussmeier was the quarterback for Idaho from 1990-1993 under then offensive coordinator Scott Linehan. On recommendation from Linehan, Nussmeier made a name for himself calling the offense under Nick Saban at Alabama. Just because a group of guys happen to be branches of the same coaching tree doesn’t mean they don’t have fresh ideas. Linehan wasn’t interested in collective input and dug in when he was asked branch out. This was a problem that was brewing for two years http://www.cowboyscheapauthenticstore.com/tyrone-crawford-jersey-cheap , players were feeling pigeon-holed and embarrassed by the staleness while Linehan blamed their own execution. There looks to be a shift in the offensive brain-trust for some type of gameplan committee between assistant coaches, Jason Garrett, and quarterback Dak Prescott. The constituent of fans that are just tired of Jason Garrett and wanted to clean house have merits in their sentiments. However, facing the reality of 3-5, this staff was all looking at being unemployed. Their response was what changed the course even if it ended with another divisional round loss. Despite the dysfunction, the Cowboys won 11 games and Garrett was safe the moment they defeated the Seahawks in the wildcard round, if not before then. If you approved the Cowboys keeping Jason Garrett in charge, you have to understand that a complete renovation and scheme change was never in the cards. Changes in concepts? Sure. A few more wrinkles and different opinions on how to implement them is certain to happen, but it’s naive to think an overhaul was imminent, that may come eventually but not yet.No two coaches interpretations of fundamentals are alike so we’re certain to see several differences. If you can think back to Garrett’s days as the play-caller, his offense wasn’t a carbon-copy of Linehan’s. For one, finding tight end mismatches were much more prevalent in Garrett’s offense than his former mentors. Though Nussmeier is a believer in the vertical passing offense, he loved using misdirection at Alabama, something that Amari Cooper was instrumental in executing. Nussmeier and Garrett were successful toward the end of this year at opening up the middle of the field Youth Allen Hurns Jersey , an area Linehan avoided for most of the year. Jon Kitna has that “gamer” tag that is often given to Dak Prescott but he will be tasked to help the young star tighten his mechanics. As far as Kellen Moore is concerned, he’s always been groomed for coaching and had some interesting videos resurface of him explaining Boise State’s offense to Jon Gruden. To paraphrase Moore, it’s about trying to add a variety of ways to execute on offense even if the philosophies are similar, that sounds like evolving. He went on to say how they try to take a lot of their core values and disguise them in order to confuse the defense. It may end up looking different but the objective is the same. The rumors at the end of the season about a decrease of Linehan’s responsibilities and an increased role for Garrett, Nussmeier, and Moore are beginning to hold more weight. These coaches deserve one last opportunity to prove their abilities. Maybe it works and the Dallas offense returns to glory while everyone gets extensions, maybe it doesn’t and major changes are made in 2020. Considering what we saw from the offense in their 8-1 run, the resurgence of Dak Prescott, the impacts of Amari Cooper, Michael Gallup, and Blake Jarwin in the passing game, things are definitely pointing up for this offense. The Cowboys have one of the youngest rosters in the NFL and the coaches hope that a few different ideas or subtle changes will be the difference in 2019. Custom Pittsburgh Steelers Jerseys

RFAsCB Lafayette PittsP Matt DarrPitts is the fourth or fifth corner on the roster when everyone is healthy and if the Bills add more experienced depth at the position this offseason I can't see much of a roster spot available for him outside of his special teams contributions. As far as Darr goes, he most likely won't be the punter to start the 2019 season. The injury to Corey Bojorquez and the lack of punting ability of Colton Schmidt are the reason that Darr was signed in the first place and his trial run with the Bills for the last month of the season didn't go well. Both Pitts and Darr were undrafted free agents, so if Buffalo tenders them at the original round figure of $2 Youth Dion Dawkins Jersey ,035,000, they will get nothing in return if another team signs them. ERFAs are players with only one or two accrued seasons in the NFL. Those under this tag (which is for an NFL minimum contract) cannot negotiate with any other team because their rights are exclusively owned by the tagging team. As for the Bills players under this tag, Ferguson is the most likely to remain with the team for next season. Yarbrough’s production and snaps went down from last year with the Bills adding Trent Murphy. For the rest of the guys, they were mostly brought in as placeholders for the holes Sean McDermott and Brandon Beane needed to fill. It wouldn’t be surprising if all of them receive the tag, though. The last week of the NFL’s regular season is here, and with it a classic match-up between long-time AFC East foes. Sunday’s game marks the first opportunity Josh Allen will face an opponent a second time. The two teams met just a few weeks ago in Miami on December 2. Josh Allen led an impressive drive in the final two minutes that ended when he and Charles Clay couldn’t connect in the end zone. Despite the loss, Allen was impressive throughout the game, wearing down the Dolphins’ defense with his arm and legs (231 yards passing, two touchdowns, two interceptions, and a two-point conversion; nine carries for 135 rushing yards). This will be the 106th meeting all-time between two teams that used to enjoy as fierce a rivalry as any the league has ever seen. Miami owns a 60-44-1 record all-time.Last season, the Bills beat the Dolphins 24-16 at New Era Field. Buffalo jumped out to a 21-6 halftime lead via pairs of touchdowns from Tyrod Taylor (one rushing, one passing) and LeSean McCoy (one rushing Womens Tre'Davious White Jersey , one receiving). Buffalo’s defense terrorized Jay Cutler throughout the second half, causing four fumbles (recovered by Cutler) and three interceptions. Opponent preview: Houston Texans tight end Ryan Griffin When the Houston Texans host the Buffalo Bills Youth Tre'Davious White Jersey , DeAndre Hopkins will be featured heavily. You probably don’t need an opponent preview on him though, so instead we’re gonna look at tight end Ryan Griffin. Even star players like Hopkins need the rest of the team to help them out. The versatile Griffin is a quiet but necessary cog in the Houston offense. The starting tight end hasn’t seen less than 68% of snaps so far this year, and is averaging twice the playing time of the closest Texan tight end. Griffin has been limited in practice with a toe injury this week, but seems like he’ll play. If not, the Texans will look to replicate what he does, as seen below. Play 1The Texans love to have Ryan Griffin across the formation White Charles Clay Jersey , whether it’s blocking or running routes. On this play he ends up blocking Jaylon Smith one on one. After the initial contact, Smith disengages and looks to go around the tight end. Griffin keeps Smith in front of him pretty well and Deshaun Watson has one less linebacker to worry about. Play 2Ryan Griffin and fellow tight end Jordan Thomas try to stop Demarcus Lawrence. Thomas loses the block and Lawrence slips behind him. Griffin is able to engage again and move laterally with Lawrence. This one goes down as a victory for Griffin.Play 3The Texans aren’t afraid to send Griffin out, though his 20 targets this year suggest he’s not a focal point for touches. He saw nine of those targets in this game though, and there’s no reason to think he’ll be ignored when there’s a favorable match-up. The sporadic amount of passes thrown his way do mean teams can’t completely ignore him when he’s running up the field. He’s a decoy for this route and manages to pull one defender with him, making it just a little easier for the Texans. Play 4Overall, Griffin catches well but doesn’t have great chemistry with Deshaun Watson. A good number of passes thrown to Griffin have been off target Youth Shaq Lawson Jersey , like this one. It can be very difficult to assess blame, but the pattern of inaccurate ball placement to Griffin can’t be ignored. Griffin snags this one with a little extra effort. Play 5Route mastery is not something to expect from Griffin, but he’ll do these for Watson well enough. Leighton Vander Esch misjudges this play which helps Griffin get wide open for the ball. Play 6Like above, don’t expect much more than this but Griffin wisely understands the cushion Leighton Vander Esch provides here. Because Griffin isn’t a burner, he can make relatively tight turns to pair with his come back routes. Vander Esch is caught by surprise by this. Griffin’s lack of speed comes back to bite him as he’s tackled quickly after the catch. Play 7In addition to being a bit of a jack of all trades, Griffin has occasional lapses in his play. The initial contact with Leighton Vander Esch is good Youth Josh Allen Jersey , but Griffin fails to finish the block. He stands upright quickly, losing leverage in the process. Vander Esch is able to slip into the lane that Griffin is trying to keep him away from. Play 8Griffin is set up to block Randy Gregory by himself. Gregory’s hesitation move leads to Griffin’s feet getting sloppy. Griffin stands upright like the last play and give up a lot of leverage. Additionally, Gregory is able to get his hands up near Griffin’s shoulders, which limits Griffin’s range of motion. With leverage gone and unable to hand fight, the results aren’t pretty. In ConclusionAt any given moment, Ryan Griffin can do his job well. The Buffalo Bills will need to account for Griffin. Both finesse and power rushers can find success against Griffin. Jerry Hughes White Jordan Poyer Jersey , Trent Murphy, and Lorenzo Alexander all have variable skill sets that should be able to set something up against Griffin. Matt Milano will likely need to rely more on speed and finesse, and Tremaine Edmunds could have a strength advantage. In coverage, the Bills secondary could see him on any part of the field. Most of this group has the skill level to stay with Griffin. Bills fans shouldn’t expect to dominate Griffin, but a few impact plays through him shouldn’t be shocking.Buffalo Bills cornerback Vontae Davis quits, retires during game As fans of the Buffalo Bills watched their team host the Los Angeles Chargers White Jeremy Kerley Jersey , cornerback depth became an increasing concern. Phillip Gaines left the game in the first half with an injury. After halftime, Vontae Davis -who was in the lineup after last week’s injury to Taron Johnson - was mysteriously absent. It’s being reported that Vontae Davis quit the team and is retiring. Head coach Sean McDermott said that Davis took himself out of the game but was not injured. Starting linebacker Lorenzo Alexander informed media that he was told at the start of the half that Davis quit and retired during the break. Alexander characterized the move as “completely disrespectful.” Alexander also stated “I don’t have anything to say about Vontae, I’m going to give him a little bit more respect than he showed us today as far as quitting on us in the middle of the game.”Vontae Davis was signed by the Buffalo Bills to replace the departing E.J. Gaines. Davis did not appear to impress during preseason and was a healthy scratch last week when the Bills played against the Baltimore Ravens. We’ll update this story as more information comes to light. Update: Here are more reactions from Buffalo’s locker room about the news of Davis absconding for greener pastures:Update 2: Davis released a statement explaining why he chose to retire today.
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Angeles Rams. The NFC West champions have a few problems of their own for perhaps the first time this season. With three losses in their past five games http://www.ramsauthorizedshops.com/authentic-john-johnson-jersey , the Eagles (6-7) are facing an uphill challenge just to earn the opportunity to defend their Super Bowl title in the playoffs. Their offense can’t get rolling, the defense can’t defend the pass, and quarterback Carson Wentz’s fractured vertebra sits atop a bulging list of injury problems. But the Eagles’ gritty performance in a 43-35 win at the Coliseum last season is still fresh in most football minds in Los Angeles. The Rams (11-2) would never take the champs lightly heading into the teams’ Sunday night showdown.“I still look at them like a Super Bowl-caliber team,” Rams receiver Robert Woods said. “Still the defending champs. We get a chance to play them in prime time. We get to play at home. We get to play well and redeem ourselves from last week.”The Rams can’t spend any time thinking about the Eagles’ woes, either. Los Angeles is coming off a dispiriting 15-6 loss in chilly Chicago during which it failed to score a touchdown for the first time in coach Sean McVay’s tenure.McVay has never lost consecutive games, and no team has beaten the Rams twice during his two seasons — but Philadelphia has a chance to do both. The coach has no trouble getting his players’ attention this week with the combination of their second loss and a visit from the champs.Wentz did not practice Wednesday or Thursday and on Saturday was declared out for the Rams game. Wentz’s second NFL season ended at the Coliseum a year ago when he tore a ligament in his left knee, but Nick Foles relieved him and led the Eagles to that win over his former franchise, clinching the NFC East in the process.Along with his Super Bowl MVP award, Foles always has motivation against the Rams: He started 11 games for the team in St. Louis in 2015 Samson Ebukam Jersey , but he asked to leave after the Rams drafted Jared Goff in the ensuing spring.“Doesn’t affect much, because Carson is a great football player, but they also were able to win a Super Bowl with Nick playing really high-level football,” McVay said.More things to watch when Mike Trout’s favorite team visits him in Southern California:DEFENDING HOMEA huge contingent of Eagles fans undoubtedly will turn out at the Coliseum, but the Rams are finally building a home-field advantage that everyone felt during their 54-51 win over the Chiefs last month. The Rams are 6-0 at the Coliseum this season after going 4-11 in their temporary arena during the first two years.HARD TO SUBOne of the overlooked challenges for defenses that have to face the Rams and their high-powered offense is the difficulty in trying to rotate defensive players into the game because Los Angeles uses the same personnel group — three receivers, one tight end, one running back — almost the entire game.“The Rams don’t substitute very often,” Eagles defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz said. “Even in short yardage and goal line, they’re in the same personnel group. It does make it a little bit more difficult to sub. We’re going to have to be surgical with our substitutions Authentic Austin Blythe Jersey , particularly on third down.”The Eagles struggled against the Saints, who also use an up-tempo offense. New Orleans beat Philadelphia 48-7 last month.“We didn’t react very well to it against the Saints. That had to do with a lot of the big plays we gave up in that game,” Schwartz said. “But we have a little bit more experience with it now. We have to do better.”GURLEY’S GAMETodd Gurley’s 28 yards rushing in Chicago were his fewest since his rookie season in 2015, and Dallas’ Ezekiel Elliott edged in front of him in the NFL rushing race . McVay blamed himself for not getting the ball into the hands of his franchise running back more often, and he seems determined to rectify that oversight.Rather than testing Fletcher Cox and the Eagles’ statistically stout run defense, the Rams may be tempted to throw excessively against the Eagles’ injury-riddled secondary, which likely means more targets for Gurley in the passing game.SPREADING IT AROUNDSince receiver Golden Tate arrived in Philadelphia, coaches have struggled to incorporate him into the offense. Tate only had one catch last week and played just 20 snaps. The offense has various options, including tight ends Zach Ertz and Dallas Goedert and receivers Alshon Jeffery and Nelson Agholor. But the Eagles traded a third-round pick for Tate Youth Jared Goff Jersey , so he was expected to be a major part of the game plan each week.“It’s just trying to find the right balance and get those guys in the right position so that they can make the plays we need to help us win,” offensive coordinator Mike Groh said. Los Angeles Rams RB Todd Gurley was locked into a job share in Super Bowl LIII against the New England Patriots with RB C.J. Anderson because of Gurley’s knee.On December 28 in the buildup to Week 16, Gurley admitted he initially injured his knee in Week 1 against the Oakland Raiders. It was aggravated in the game prior to his public disclosure to the point that the Rams shut him down in the final two games of the regular season. And despite a huge statistical output in the divisional round of the playoffs, the impact of the injury was clear in the NFC Championship against the New Orleans Saints in which Gurley had four carries, a career low, to go with just three targets. And then came the sales job.For whatever reason, the Rams decided to sell the idea that the knee was fine.“He’s feeling good, a hundred percent,” said Rams Head Coach Sean McVay just two days ago. “We expect him to play a big role in this game.”And then Gurley sat. For much of the game. At times http://www.ramsauthorizedshops.com/authentic-aaron-donald-jersey , he’d put a towel over his head. Others, he’d be on the bike.It wasn’t just obvious he was injured. It was that it was obvious before tonight. And yet Rams media never pushed back on Gurley’s knee. Why?Has local media subsumed to the cult of McVay to the point that they’re willing to assume that anything he utters is sacrosanct? That might be fine for fans and the public, but for an independent media congregation that’s supposed to make sure they report the truth, that’s an assumption that shouldn’t be made. Were they simply willing to consider the idea that the Rams might be anything less than truthful? That might be more disappointing given the Rams’ INCREDIBLY long history of playing with the truth for a variety of reasons let alone the fact that Gurley disclosed the injury in late December after 15 games of keeping it private.Did they simply buy the line that if he were injured, he’d be on the injury report? That’s awfully gullible especially given that Gurley addressed the Week 1 injury after 15 games none of which he appeared on the injury report for.And so it is. Todd Gurley will have his knee cleaned up, his injured knee that the Rams sold as being in 100% shape a line the media were happy to parrot.Perhaps now we’ll actually get answers to the questions they were unwilling to ask.
The Los Angeles Rams (1-0) host the Arizona Cardinals (0-1) at the LA Memorial Coliseum in Week 2. The Cardinals will look to right the ship after a very lackluster home opener against the Redskins — a game in which they were held out of the end zone and finished with 6 points. The Rams will look to stay hot after making light work of the Oakland Raiders in the second half of their season opener. The Rams will need a few star players to continue their hot steaks this Sunday. Here’s a look at three stats White Andrew Whitworth Jersey , and a record-breaker, you can almost bank on for SundayPassing Yards: 300Jared Goff has been very solid over the course of his past three home games. In those matchups he’s finished with a combined 908 passing yards (302.7 ypg) with 7 touchdowns, 1 interception, and a 110.1 QB rating. In front of the home crowd, as their season opener, look for Goff to have another stellar outing. Yards from scrimmage: 100I touched on this earlier this morning, but Todd Gurley needs 90 rushing yards in order to jump from 8th to 6th on the Rams’ list of all-time leading rushers. Also impressive is Gurley’s streak of 100+ scrimmage yard games at home White Brandin Cooks Jersey , which could extend to five with a triple-digit performance today. Gurley had 147 scrimmage yards in Week 1, and has 312 (156 per game) in his last two meetings against Arizona. Tackles for loss: 2Aaron Donald is a beast. Regardless of the stat lines from Week 1, he was out there doing what he does best: wreaking havoc on opposing offensive lines. The next tackle for loss for Donald puts him at 73, which places him in a tie with Chris Long for Rams’ all-time TFL record. It has taken Donald 62 games to tally that amount...it took Long 114 (hat tip J.B. Long). Two also happens to be the amount of sacks Donald racked up in his last meeting against the Cardinals last December in Glendale. The 2018 NFL season has come to a close. Like many of you, I didn’t expect it to end this way. The heartbreak was supposed to go to the other team. I believed the Los Angeles Rams would finally get sweet, sweet vengeance against New England Patriots QB Tom Brady and Head Coach Bill Belichick. But here we are.The confetti has fallen. The Lombardi Trophy has been presented. It’s heading back to Foxborough. Again.Yuck.I am angry, frustrated White Cory Littleton Jersey , and sad. And I’m sympathetic to the players who actually played in the game because I’m sure they’re feeling the same way. The defense had the game of their life, holding Brady and the Patriots to only 3 points going into the 4th quarter. The offense knows that it was anemic and needed to do better. And for some of the players eyeing retirement, this may have been their last shot. But, while it’s easy to get caught in the vacuum of this loss, I understand, as we all should, that this season was amazing. Two or more seasons ago http://www.authenticslosangelesrams.com/cheap-lamarcus-joyner-jersey , getting to the Super Bowl was a pipe dream. Now, we know we’re coming back, we’re too good not to. Maybe it’s next season, maybe it’s two seasons from now, but we’ll be back. The playoffs are no longer going to be strangers to us and this team either, they’re going to be a close friend that we see often. So, let’s take some time to mourn this loss and then as 3k said http://www.authenticslosangelesrams.com/cheap-johnny-hekker-jersey , move forward. Onward, and upward. One last thing while we’re all trolling around social media: Let’s try and remember that the players are human beings too.On to the offseason.

RENTON Authentic Cooper Kupp Jersey , Wash. (AP) — D.J. Fluker headlined a list of seven Seahawks players listed as questionable to play Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams.McDougald (knee), Carson (hip) and Fluker (calf) each were forced out of last week’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers due to their injuries. Only McDougald was able to get any practice work in this week for the team as he was limited in Friday’s workouts. All three are expected to be game-time decisions.Delano Hill, a third-round pick in 2017 Authentic Rob Havenstein Jersey , would make his first career start in place of McDougald if he is unable to play. It would leave the Seahawks with a starting secondary consisting entirely of players in their first or second year in the NFL against one of the league’s most explosive offenses.“He had a good week,” head coach Pete Carroll said of Hill. “These are two really good weeks. I mentioned it to you at the end of last week, too, that he had really stepped up in the preparation Womens Robert Woods Jersey , he got a lot of work.”Mike Davis is set to go in place of Carson with first-round pick Rashaad Penny and C.J. Prosise available as well. Carroll wouldn’t say who would start in place of Fluker, but Ethan Pocic would be the most likely option.Linebacker K.J. Wright (knee), defensive tackles Shamar Stephen (foot) and Nazair Jones (illness) and guard Jordan Simmons (calf) are also listed as questionable.Carroll indicated that Wright and Jones should be able to play. Stephen had been away from the team this week getting treatment on his injured foot but has told the team he expects to be able to play as well.Cornerback Neiko Thorpe is doubtful to play due to a groin injury. It would be the third straight game he’s missed due to injury. While the Los Angeles Rams are prepping for the New Orleans Saints in the NFC Championship, most of the NFL has already turned its sights to the offseason and the upcoming 2019 NFL Draft. So with an eye toward our shifting priorities in about three weeks regardless of what happens http://www.losangelesramsteamonline.com/johnny-hekker-jersey , we have a new mock this weekend from NFL.com’s Daniel Jeremiah. One of the great aspects of mock season is that once things start to heat up and we start to get our first mocks of the year from various analysts is that they can upend the early conventional wisdom. Different perspectives based on individual scouting that don’t necessarily adhere to the assumptions we’ve built to this early point. And that’s what we’ve got from Jeremiah here.Notes:No, there isn’t a groundbreaker at #1. Jeremiah has Ohio State Buckeyes EDGE Nick Bosa going first......but we do have a new #2! Michigan Wolverines EDGE (and that’s Jeremiah’s designation not mine as I wouldn’t classify him as such) Rashan Gary to the San Francisco 49ers.We get two picks thereafter that fit the January consensus in Kentucky Wildcats OLB Josh Allen and Alabama Crimson Tide DT Quinnen Williams......but (I’m starting to like the ellipsis-but combo for DJ’s mock) #5 is a whopper. DJ has the Tampa Bay Buccaneers taking Alabama RB Josh Jacobs a year after taking Ronald Jones in the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft out of USC.First QB at #6 in OSU QB Dwayne Haskins.LSU Tigers LB Devin White at #10 to the Denver Broncos. Pray, Rams fans!Jeremiah’s mock is much lighter on edge rushers than ESPN’s Mel Kiper’s from this week. Clemson Tigers EDGE Clelin Ferrell at #12 matches Kiper’s mock. Mississippi St. Bulldogs EDGE Montez Sweat to the Seattle Seahawks at #21 was four picks earlier than Kiper’s. And Jeremiah has Louisiana Tech Bulldogs EDGE Jaylon Ferguson at #24 to the Oakland Raiders; Ferguson didn’t feature in Kiper’s mock. Jeremiah doesn’t have Florida Gators EDGE Jachai Polite, Florida State Seminoles EDGE Brian Burns or Old Dominion Monarchs EDGE Oshane Ximines in his first round unlike Kiper. So at #30 Authentic Samson Ebukam Jersey , who does Jeremiah mock to the Rams?#30.) Clemson DT Dexter LawrenceThe logic’s obvious with Kiper having mocked us to take OSU DT Dre’Mont Jones. Lawrence would be a fine addition; Kiper mocked him 26th overall, FWIW. And I couldn’t give a hoot about Lawrence missing the college football playoffs this year due to performance-enhancing drugs. If anything, I’d be interested in why he got caught. So let’s get ready for tomorrow. We’re still playing football. Whether it’s come Monday or in a little more than two weeks’ time, we’re gonna begin turning our attention to the offseason and the offseason process. Here’s hoping it’s in more than two weeks with some jubilation powering that change in attention.

hdown celebration Womens Customized Los Angeles Rams Jerseys , but former Saints receiver Joe Horn loved it. Horn saw Thomas’ honorary touchdown celebration while working out in Tupelo, Mississippi, he told Jeff Duncan of the Times-Picayune. He immediately went online and bought Thomas’ jersey. The current Saints star receiver watched YouTube clips of Horn’s 2003 touchdown celebration, bought two flip phones and had one waiting in each end zone.“Umm, I think someone . . . I think Joe Horn left it,” Thomas said when asked who planted the phones, via Mike Triplett of ESPN.Thomas’ 72-yard touchdown catch gave the Saints a 45-35 lead. He celebrated with the flip phone, drawing a 15-yard penalty for using a prop.“I paid a tribute to [Horn], tried to get the crowd going a little bit more, set the tone, have fun out there, giving people a show,” said Thomas, who had 12 catches for 211 yards. “You gotta have fun. All these guys just catching touchdowns and celebrating with each other, having fun, getting the crowd involved. I felt like I had an opportunity to make it happen, put the game away and make a call.”The NFL will fine Thomas at least $13,369 for the celebration. Horn paid a $30 www.ramsfootballauthentics.com ,000 fine 15 years ago, but that was for a second violation that season. Fantasy football in 2018 has been defined by a revival at quarterback. Entering Week 7, the position is 12 to 15 players deep with quality starters along with a handful of others who can deliver above-average numbers, depending on the matchup. There are also those who came into the season expecting to put up monster numbers but haven't.There will be more of the same at the position this week, as well as some under-the-radar backs who need to be in most lineups and a receiver who has worked his way into WR2 status.START: Sony Michel, RB, Patriots: He's arrived to borderline RB1 status. In his past three games, Michel is averaging 105.1 yards on a solid 4.7 yards per carry average while scoring four touchdowns. By averaging 22.1 carries a game, Michel has shattered the longtime fear of fantasy owners committing to Patriots running backs. Even against a Bears defense that is second only to the Ravens in fantasy points allowed per game to opposing running backs, Michel belongs in most lineups.SIT: Deshaun Watson, QB, Texans: Watson looks like a quarterback with only 13 games of experience under his belt. In his past two starts, Watson has thrown three interceptions and has led the offense to only two drives that resulted in touchdowns. A lot of his issues come from the fact Houston's running game averages just 3.9 yards per carry and has only one rushing touchdown from its backs (Watson has the only other rushing TD), a problem that will not be resolved on the road against a Jaguars D that is fourth in fewest fantasy points allowed per game to opposing quarterbacks. Better days lie ahead for Watson, but Sunday won't be one of them.START: John Brown, WR, Ravens: Nothing says "rebound" like facing the Saints pass defense that is the most fantasy-friendly unit against opposing receivers. Brown had only three targets last week against the Titans but should easily return to the nearly nine targets per game he had before that. New Orleans has given up 21 passes of at least 20 yards, which plays well for Brown Los Angeles Rams T-Shirt , who had at least one catch for better than 20 yards in each game prior last week. Expect at least 2-3 shots up top to Brown, who'll make the most of the opportunities.SIT: Dalvin Cook, RB, Vikings: Although Cook practiced Wednesday without a hitch, the weekly saga continues for owners of Cook. He has only 10 touches over the last four games and even if he does get on the field, there's no guarantee how many touches he'll see. Cook could miss out on a Jets defense that is a modest 17th against the run, which means Latavius Murray owners should be ready to plug him in as either an RB2 or flex if Cook is either limited or completely unavailable.START: Marquise Goodwin, WR, 49ers: Finally healthy, Goodwin torched the Packers for 126 yards and a pair of touchdowns on just four catches. The Rams secondary has struggled without injured All-Pro corner Aqib Talib, having allowed nine touchdown passes in the last four games. Expect Goodwin — who has just 14 targets all season — to approach double digits in a game where the 49ers will likely be playing catch-up. Niners quarterback C.J. Beathard has thrown two touchdown passes in three straight games and is likely to keep that streak if he gets Goodwin involved from the outset.SIT: Jordan Howard, RB, Bears: Howard has just one touchdown thus far and has become almost nonexistent in the Chicago passing game. Tarik Cohen continues to eat away into his snaps and Howard's 3.5 yards per carry only makes using him tougher. Even though the Patriots are a middle of the road run defense (18th overall), Howard probably deserves to be benched, especially in PPR formats.START: C.J. Uzomah, TE, Bengals: Uzomah is a big, athletic target who has caught eight of the nine passes thrown in his direction the past two games and gets a chance to make his fantasy mark against a Chiefs defense that is 30th in fantasy points allowed per game to opposing tight ends. Kansas City last in passing yards allowed Los Angeles Rams Hats , and if they become too focused on stopping receivers A.J. Green and Tyler Boyd, Uzomah will have the middle of the field to himself for much of Sunday night. He's likely available in most leagues.SIT: Evan Engram, TE, Giants: Everything is pointing in the direction of Engram returning to the lineup but he's not a lock and with the G-Men playing on Monday night, fantasy owners will be taking a high risk in assuming the potential TE1 will be on the field. Engram has an impressive 77 percent catch rate and should develop into a must-start performer; however, that development might be best served until next week for fantasy owners.START: Josh Gordon, WR, Patriots: The Bears secondary gives up catches to opposing receivers at a 71 percent rate. Gordon's workload has increased with each game, and it's not a stretch to envision him getting double-digit targets on Sunday. This has a good chance of being Gordon's best fantasy game since arriving to New England.SIT: Lamar Miller, RB, Texans: Even if it wasn't against the Jaguars, Miller merits time on the bench, managing 105 yards on 39 carries in the last three games, a 2.7 yards per carry average. D'Onta Foreman is one to two weeks away, so Miller's owners should consider stashing Foreman if possible.

n to the Miami offense White Jerry Hughes Jersey , Jets head coach Todd Bowles said that he thought his team’s defense could have done more to help win the game. That was a surprising response given how they played, but no one will be surprised if the defense comes up for blame again this Sunday. The Jets are down 31-3 at halftime against a 2-7 Bills team that had not scored more than 27 points in any of their games this season.Of course, losing like this to a team like the Bills may lead the Jets to decide that someone other than Bowles should be putting together their game plans. Assuming they can’t channel one-time Jets and Bills quarterback Frank Reich and come back to win this game, Bowles will be 23-35 as the Jets’ head coach and the team will be 3-7 on the season.LeSean McCoy has scored his first two touchdowns of the season for Buffalo and has a season-high 96 rushing yards. Marcus Murphy has added 44 rushing yards and Matt Barkley has completed 9-of-15 passes for 146 yards in his first start since the 2016 season. The Jets defense will come in for criticism for that performance, but their offense shouldn’t avoid a lashing. They had nine yards on their first four possessions and finished the half with 68 total yards. Josh McCown threw an interception, took a pair of sacks and the biggest gain of the half was wiped out when the team was flagged for three holding penalties on an Elijah McGuire run.Only one of them counted http://www.authenticsbuffalobills.com/cheap-rafael-bush-jersey , which is pretty much the only positive for the Jets until Jason Myers hit a 56-yard field goal at the second quarter whistle.Charles Clay misses practice in Thursday’s Buffalo Bills injury report As the Buffalo Bills continued practicing ahead of their matchup with the Green Bay Packers, the tight end position took a turn for the worse on Thursday. Starting tight end Charles Clay, who was a limited participant on Wednesday with shoulder and hip injuries, didn’t practice. In addition, Jason Croom (who scored a touchdown last week against the Vikings), appeared on the injury report as limited with a knee injury. If Croom and Clay don’t improve before the weekend http://www.authenticsbuffalobills.com/cheap-ryan-groy-jersey , then Khari Lee and Logan Thomas would be the main men in their place. Where Croom and Clay are more versatile pieces who can play inline or out wide, Lee is primarily a blocker and Thomas primarily a receiver, so this would take away some diversity from Buffalo’s offense. On the other hand, the rest of Buffalo’s injury news was positive. Micah Hyde, who had been limited on Wednesday, was a full participant Thursday. Phillip Gaines was a full participant for the second day in a row http://www.authenticsbuffalobills.com/cheap-corey-bojorquez-jersey , and will be able to play Sunday. Shaq Lawson, Trent Murphy, Marcus Murphy, and LeSean McCoy all practiced in a limited fashion for the second day in a row, which is a positive sign for each.

Buffalo Bills vs. FL are always under a microscope http://www.buffalobillsteamonline.com/micah-hyde-jersey , especially when they are players expected to help the franchise immediately. In what was a forgettable game for the Buffalo Bills as a whole, some of the rookies played well and some struggled. Here are our thoughts on all the draft picks after the third preseason game:QB Josh AllenThis may have been Allen’s chance to win the starting job for the regular season. With two promising outings prior to this game, he brought excitement around the franchise. His first time going against an opposing starting defense didn't go well, but it wasn't completely his fault. The offensive line struggled to protect him, as he was sacked five times, although some of those occurred because he held the ball too long. Allen made some throws out of the pocket that were off target and almost intercepted. At times, he showed off his arm strength too much on short throws that required finesse rather than power. Allen finished 6- for-12 with just 34 yards passing. Overall, it was a poor showing from the entire offense Womens John Miller Jersey , and Allen may have lost his opportunity to open the season as the starting quarterback. LB Tremaine EdmundsAfter a slow start to the preseason, Edmunds showed why he was a first-round pick. His athletic ability at the linebacker position is something out of a video game. Edmunds flowed well from sideline-to-sideline and took care of his gap responsibilities. In coverage, he jumped a curl route in the slot and almost came up with an interception. Edmunds finished the game with seven tackles, and his performance was a step in the right direction for him and the Bills. (Even head coach Sean McDermott noticed, mentioning Edmunds in his press conferences Sunday and Monday.)DT Harrison Phillips Phillips had a hard time pressuring the quarterback, as did the rest of the defensive line. Andy Dalton had so much time to throw that he could have taken a nap in the pocket. It looked like Phillips was playing 3-technique again, and he seemed uncomfortable. The Bengals’ guards were able to control him at the line of scrimmage and move him where they wanted. Whether he is just learning different assignments than he had in college or he is struggling to find his comfort zone, Phillips didn't play well against the Bengals. CB Taron JohnsonJohnson is taking all the first-team reps at slot corner http://www.buffalobillsteamonline.com/jordan-poyer-jersey , and rightfully so. Through three games, Johnson has made progress, showing himself to be reliable in coverage. He showed his ability to recognize routes on some occasions, and he didn't give up any big plays to the Bengals’ offense. All signs point to Johnson winning the starting spot at slot corner. S Siran NealNeal only played 15 defensive snaps, but he made a couple of nice open field tackles and was not beaten in coverage or completely out of position on Sunday. This was a small sample size for him, though, with only playing a few snaps and not having the ball thrown in his direction. G Wyatt TellerTeller had another good game for the most part. The only black mark was a play in pass protection where the defensive tackle just bullied his way to a hit on Nathan Peterman as he was releasing the ball. Although he doesn't have overwhelming power, Teller did a good job on most occasions winning the first punch. At times Womens Ryan Groy Jersey , it looks like he relies on his upper body to hold off rushers rather than using his legs. In the run game, he did a good job moving to the second level to seal off linebackers on a few plays. With the state of the current starting offensive line, Teller might be thrown into the mix as the starting left guard prematurely sometime this season. WR Ray-Ray McCloud IIIMcCloud only recorded one catch on the day for 10 yards. On a fourth down play in the red zone, McCloud dropped a tough ball to catch in the corner of the end zone that would have put the Bills within one score of the Bengals. McCloud’s agility and quickness in short-to-intermediate routes sticks out, and he has the ability to get open on those types of plays. His value as a slot receiver and punt returner puts him on the inside of the bubble to make the 53-man roster. WR Austen ProehlProehl only played one snap the entire game for the Bills. Proehl has struggled to find open space in camp and in the preseason, and it has been a huge factor in his performance. His chances of making the team have dropped dramatically over the past few weeks, and I would be shocked if he finds himself on this team. If you ask him, there is no doubt that Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson is going to play this Sunday against the Buffalo Bills. Watson spoke at the Texans’ facility today as part of the normal Wednesday media schedule.Watson said he felt both “good” and “great” in different quotes Womens Vladimir Ducasse Jersey , adding that today was just another day at the office.“I’ve been sore plenty of times,” Watson said. “It’s part of the game. I’m able to take some shots. Just kind of re-group and keep moving forward.”Texans head coach Bill O’Brien added that was a chance Watson could play Sunday, answering “Oh, yeah.” The second-year player was hit ten times on Sunday night in the game against the Dallas Cowboys and was said to be day-to-day by one Houston radio station on Tuesday.Houston has yet to release their official practice report for the day, when we will know more information. Brandon Weeden and Joe Webb are Watson’s backups.

the Texans The Cowboys defensive line Womens Amari Cooper Jersey , or self-proclaimed “Hot Boyz,” have yet another matchup against a struggling offensive line when they visit the Houston Texans Sunday night. Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson has been sacked 17 times but also has been hit 43 times in the first month of football. Though Josh Allen of the Buffalo Bills has been sacked the most at 21, nobody has a higher combined sack-to-hits ratio than Watson. This certainly looks to be a favorable matchup for the Cowboys against an overmatched Texans line. Well, over the last two games, the “Hot Boyz” have cooled off from that six-sack night against the Giants. Those six sacks of Eli Manning occupy 43% of the season total of 14.The NFL’s sack-leader, DeMarcus Lawrence, has 5.5 sacks and that makes up 39.3% of the total. The other defensive linemen on the roster have four sacks combined at 28.6%. The linebackers have the other 4.5 sacks, around 32.1%. Getting sacks is certainly a team effort, some come from great coverage on the back end, others, like a few picked up against Matt Stafford, were from twists or stunts by the defensive tackles. Speaking of defensive tackles, the news isn’t getting better for Houston as David Irving likely makes his return. Irving may take some time to get acclimated after a four-game suspension. However http://www.dallascowboysteamonline.com/amari-cooper-jersey , this is the same guy that returned in week five of last season and recorded six sacks in his first four games. Nobody will be happier to have Irving back in the rotation than Lawrence, who was a one-man show last week against the Lions. If they get good news regarding Maliek Collins too, they could be loaded.Still, the Texans may look like prime rib for these hungry rushers but we thought the same thing about the Seahawks in week three. At that time, Russell Wilson had been sacked a league-high 12-times in two games or roughly 15% of the time he dropped back to pass. With superb effort by Seattle’s tight ends chipping Lawrence and Wilson’s elusiveness, the Cowboys came away with seven QB hits but only two sacks. Against the Lions, Lawrence got three sacks but only one other “Hot Boy” registered a hit. Now, that was minor compared to a secondary that developed a habit of giving up chunk plays, but pressure is a related variable in this equation. Our own, RJ Ochoa mentioned that the Cowboys are 32nd in the league in takeaways with just two fumbles and not a single interception. It’s been a trend for the Cowboys since their second-place finish in 2014 but they couldn’t get pressure to save their lives that season. The Cowboys have literally flipped that script, ranking third in sacks but dead last in takeaways. By not taking the ball away, pressure is the lifeline for this defense at the moment. The Cowboys got nine of their sacks in the first two weeks but only five in the last two. To be fair, they did just face two of the upper-echelon passers and it reflects in their defensive rankings since we last visited them:2018 DEFTot. Yds PPGPass DRush DDEF. Yds/DrPts/DrDSREven after giving up six passes of 20+ yards in two games Authentic Dak Prescott Jersey , this defense hasn’t moved much in terms of total yards. They have seen a significant increase in points given up but still remain in the Top-10 there. In the Cowboys first two games, opponent’s averaged 14.5 points, but it’s jumped to 24 in each of these last two. The reason this is a tad concerning is because both opponent’s were averaging under 24 points on offense before they played the Cowboys. Sure, we can hang some big plays on this secondary and this line has been thinner on the inside with a few injuries. With that said, the lack of consistent pressure is certainly a worthy contributor to these increases in big plays and points scored. So let’s revisit this week’s opponent, the Texans, and see how they matchup with the Cowboys defense overall:NFL RanksTotal YardsPPGPassRun3rd Down Pct.Houston’s offense is averaging 24 points per game, right where the Cowboys threshold has been in the last two weeks. The Texans also are a Top-10 passing and rushing offense which is something the Cowboys defense will have to be concerned with limiting. On top of that, both of the Cowboys losses were to teams with mobile quarterbacks. Now, let’s look at the Texans offensive drive stats versus the Cowboys defensive drive stats from Football Outsiders:Drive StatsYds/DrPts/DrDSRThe Cowboys defense has clear advantages according to the drive charts but none of that matters if they can’t get them off the field in this game. This is only the second game the Texans have played at home, they lost the first one to the Giants 27-22. The Cowboys have uncharacteristically lost two on the road and won their home games. SplitsGames PlayedAvg. PPGTotal Yards Avg.Avg. SacksAvg. Pass YdsAvg. Run Yds3rd Down %These “Hot Boyz” are only averaging 2.5 sacks on the road and that has to change against a team like this. Another thing that has to change is that third-down percentage, the Cowboys can’t allow them to convert at that rate. The Texans’ offense is not nearly as bad as their record would indicate. All of these tables show that the Texans offense is more than capable of racking up yards and points. Deshaun Watson is at his best when he can extend plays but he almost has to because of poor protection. This will also be one of the best receiving corps they have faced. They have DeAndre Hopkins in the Top-10 but also Will Fuller and Keke Coutee in the Top-100 in receiving this season. The Cowboys can’t allow Watson to do to their defense what Cam Newton and Russell Wilson did. This can’t turn into a Watson-to-Hopkins show either. They must get consistent pressure on this quarterback and it’s time for other Cowboys to step up and perform. Ed Note: Hey all, we’re adding a new film room analysts to the site. He coordinated a defense that led Division 3 in passing and pass efficiency as well as a punt block unit that led the nation in blocks. Matt also writes for SB Nation’s Cincy Jungle and hosts the Best Available Draft Podcast on The Grueling Truth podcast network.End Note — DaveThe Cowboys have made a much needed change at offensive coordinator Womens Taco Charlton Jersey , but they still need to add weapons in the passing game. Fortunately, their 2018 third-round pick wide receiver, Michael Gallup, is a star in the making. In the Cowboys’ Week 7 matchup against Washington, Gallup gave us a glimpse of what he could be, as he scored his first NFL touchdown.Just before halftime, the Cowboys found themselves at midfield with Allen Hurns lined up as the wide receiver on the right side and Gallup at wide receiver on the left side. Each runs a hitch-and-go.The primary read is Hurns, but he does a poor job of selling the hitch, and Washington cornerback Josh Norman is not fooled. Gallup does a much better job with his route. He turns his shoulders and hips, making his route look just like a hitch. This fools Washington cornerback Greg Stroman into breaking on Gallup’s route. When the pass gets to Gallup, he has a five-yard lead on Stroman and an easy touchdown.Gallup is a tremendous athlete and an excellent route runner. He needs to spend the offseason working with quarterback Dak Prescott to build familiarity and become a bigger part of this offense. here are a lot of things to take away off the top. There were only four games (eight teams in the league) to dissect Color Rush Jaylon Smith Jersey , but overall more football proved to be a good thing. If this new league can continue to grow there’s a high possibility that some players will develop and potentially make their way into the NFL. That’s good for everyone.Something particularly interesting that the AAF has already brought forth is innovation and transparency when it comes to officials reviewing questionable calls on the field. During the game between the Orlando Apollos and Atlanta Legends, the booth showed us the entire review process from the perspective of the woman making it. That’s revolutionary.Options mean different perspectives and that’s what we got during the first week of the Alliance. Was it perfect football of the highest quality? Of course not, but it was what the proper expectations thought it would be... competitive football that can serve as a developmental league in the spring. We all win there.Since the AAF is going to be a focal point of the NFL offseason and because many BTBers have been discussing it all over the place we thought it might be fun to choose an official team of the site. The closest in proximity to the Cowboys themselves is the San Antonio Commanders, they also have Daryl Johnston as their General Manager, but BTB has flags planted all over the world. Who’s your squad? Now that the offseason is officially underway, it brings a feeling of reflection of this past season. We decided to poll our Twitter audience to see exactly what was on the minds as we put this past year into the rear-view. BTB asked and you all delivered, Joe Gonillo (@jgonillo on Twitter) wants to pinpoint the problems in the red zone. What really caused all the Cowboys issues on offense in the red zone? The Cowboys finished the season 29th in red zone conversions, 48% on the year is pitiful. Only two playoff teams were in the bottom ten in red zone touchdowns, both from the great state of Texas. The Cowboys offense took quite the fall from where they had been, ranking sixth in 2017 http://www.authenticsdallascowboys.com/cheap-tyrone-crawford-jersey , and third in 2016. The struggles this offense experienced inside the opponent’s 20-yard line are due to a few variables. The likely place to start is upfront on the offensive line, they just didn’t have the same power to move the opponent off the line with consistency. No slight intended for Joe Looney but it’s no secret, the Cowboys missed Travis Frederick’s All-Pro abilities. The center is an integral part of success in the red zone, he makes the calls at the line and the Cowboys just weren’t nearly as efficient without Frederick. On top of that, Connor Williams struggled with strength and power all season. When he was replaced with Xavier Su’a-Filo in Philadelphia, Dallas went 4 for 5 in the red zone that game. However, Su’a-Filo may have had power but lacked athleticism at the second level as the season wore on and was banged up. The line is where you start, they didn’t come close to having the push at the point of attack, making the opponent’s job even easier with less field to cover. Another part of the problem was play-calling and you can lump in personnel decisions, too. It was difficult to figure out what the line of thinking was in a handful of games. For example http://www.authenticsdallascowboys.com/cheap-kavon-frazier-jersey , the trade for Jamize Olawale bared no fruit, if the plan was to have him dig a linebacker out and block, it was a failure. If the plan was to get him involved in the red zone passing game, it was even more of a failure. Another example, what has Noah Brown done that would convince the coaches that he should be the go-to receiver in a goal-to-go situation in the playoffs?Back to play-calling, the Cowboys under Scott Linehan had become insanely creative in ways to not convert in the red zone. The Cowboys have two very good weapons in the run game in Ezekiel Elliott and Dak Prescott. Instead of using them creatively, when the Cowboys did run in the red zone, especially near the goal line, they used jumbo formations that tipped the defense off and instead of doing something tricky or creative, they would just hand it to Zeke up the middle. Some creativity and maybe some formations where they spread the defense out then run it with either Dak or Zeke probably would have helped the scoring percentage.Another thing that was problematic was the loss of Jason Witten and Dez Bryant with no ready replacements until Amari Cooper showed up. A tight end in the red zone who can be a real weapon is extremely useful. The Cowboys tight ends weren’t that in 2018 thus taking away another possibility in the red zone.Additionally Youth Travis Frederick Jersey , we have to say that there were plays where the Cowboys had easy scores, and the players failed to execute. Cole Beasley dropped a wide open catch in the end zone as did Jamize Olawale. Dak Prescott had open receivers a couple of times that he missed, including a wide open Noah Brown. Sometimes the play-call was good, but the players failed to execute.Despite being Top-10 with 68 total goal-to-go plays, Dallas averaged 0.81 yards per play, worst in the league. They only scored 13 goal-to-go touchdowns, 28th in the NFL. To sum up, there were multiple problems that led to the failure in the red zone. Creative play-calling and a tight end who can become a weapon in the end zone would be a huge help in solving the issue. Getting Travis Frederick back along with a stronger Connor Williams would also help the situation. It’s never just one thing, but the Cowboys problems are fixable. Custom Pittsburgh Steelers Jerseys

other in Arizona after being dealt by the Texas Rangers to the Diamondbacks just before the non-waiver trade deadline Tuesday.Diekman struck out two while pitching the ninth inning for Texas in its win at Arizona on Monday night. Diekman was 1-1 with a 3.69 ERA in a team-high 47 appearances for the Rangers this season.Texas got right-hander Wei-Chieh (Way-Jay) Huang and a player to be named later from Diamondbacks. Huang was assigned to Double-A Frisco.Arizona designated left-hander Jorge De La Rosa for assignment.Diekman was the fourth pitcher traded by the Rangers in the past two weeks. Lefty starter Cole Hamels and reliever Jesse Chavez were sent to the Chicago Cubs in separate deals earlier this month http://www.bravesfanproshop.com/authentic-jose-ramirez-jersey , and closer Keone Kela was traded to Pittsburgh late Monday night.— Alex Cora spent this season rewarding the support of Jackie Bradley Jr., David Price and the rest of the Boston Red Sox organization with a record-breaking year and a run deep into the playoffs. The rookie manager’s accomplishments go further than the baseball diamond, too.Having seen his homeland of Puerto Rico devastated by Hurricane Maria, Cora remains at the forefront of helping the island rebuild.“It’s been a year since the hurricane and Puerto Rico is still recovering. We all have families over there and we know that the situation remains difficult,” Red Sox assistant general manager Eddie Romero said.“Alex has that always in mind. I admire that. We are always talking about it. Hopefully, this can bring a little bit of relief to the people, that they have a Puerto Rican hero in such a big state, so important Ronald Acuna Jr. Jersey ,” he said.Cora has a lot of people rooting for him right now. His team is one win from reaching the World Series, leading Houston 3-1 in the AL Championship Series.Romero grew up on the island and his dad, Ed, played in the World Series for the Red Sox. So Cora’s efforts especially resonate with him.“Alex is always thinking about them. That’s very nice,” Romero said.Cora had his mind set on aiding those in need from the very beginning of his first stint as a big league manager. While negotiating his contract last October, he made a request that the Red Sox front office supply aid to Puerto Rico, which the club eagerly accepted. Then, Cora flew to his hometown of Caguas with team president Sam Kennedy to deliver food and supplies.Boston catcher Christian Vazquez http://www.bravesfanproshop.com/authentic-sean-newcomb-jersey , whose walk-up song is “Vamos Pa’ La Calle” by a fellow Puerto Rican, popular artist Bad Bunny, later joined Cora to lend a hand.Last year, Vazquez dyed his hair blonde to pay homage to the team that made a run to the championship game against the United States in the 2017 World Baseball Classic. Cora was the general manager for that club and played infield for Puerto Rico in 2006 and 2009.Cora’s profound love for his homeland is ever-present in his actions. During his introductory news conference, he put the spotlight on his platform by raising the Puerto Rican flag as his daughter wiped away tears.“Whenever I have the chance to talk about them or represent them the right way, I have to do it,” Cora said during this month’s playoffs. “But for as proud they are — because they are — I’m prouder of them.”“For us to be in the situation we’re in as a country right now, after what happened last year Preston Tucker Jersey , that’s a W right there. That’s a winning team right there. And I’m very proud of them,” he said. For Cora, Hispanic Heritage Month that ended Monday provided a lot of reminders. The Red Sox clinched the AL East title on Sept. 20, the one-year anniversary of Hurricane Maria. Cora went on to lead the Red Sox to a team-record 108 wins in the regular season.Cora capped off the month by guiding the Red Sox into the ALCS for the first time since 2013. He confidently stuck with Bradley and Price, who both overcame past struggles to deliver in this series. On and off the field, it’s been a historic season for Cora.Cora is the first Latino or minority manager for a franchise that was the last team in the majors to have a black player. In a year that saw Yawkey Way renamed to Jersey Street — team owner John Henry said the previous name, for a former owner, was a disturbing reminder of the club’s history of racial intolerance — Cora has done a lot in Massachusetts for a state that is home to the fifth-largest Puerto Rican community. In the ALCS http://www.oriolesfanproshop.com/authentic-j.j.-hardy-jersey , Cora’s team is taking on Houston and shortstop Carlos Correa, a star when the Astros won their first World Series title last year. Cora was the bench coach on that championship team.Correa also has been actively leading relief efforts in Puerto Rico. He recognizes all Cora has done for those who hail from an island that considers baseball a national treasure.“He means a lot. I’m pretty sure people in Puerto Rico are watching his games and obviously wishing him the best. But now he’s facing the Astros, and Carlos Correa is on this side, so they’re going to be split between him and me. I’m pretty sure everyone is excited to watch those games,” Correa said.Puerto Ricans across the globe have certainly raised a glass to toast Cora’s contributions. And perhaps the celebrations will carry on a little longer this year to celebrate a championship for the boy from Caguas who has become a leader. After all, Cora has carried more than a clubhouse this postseason. He has used his broad shoulders to carry the entire island.

At some point http://www.philliesfanproshop.com/authentic-carlos-santana-jersey , an MLB player will score a contract worth a half-billion dollars. It's an absurd notion, but it's coming. r, all eyes will be on Bryce Harper and Manny Machado.Harper is 25 years old and Machado is 26. Both are generational talents with sterling resumes. That said, neither has performed at peak level in his contract year.Harper has cracked 34 home runs but is hitting a ho-hum .246 for the Washington Nationals, who will miss the postseason.Machado is slashing .296/.366/.541 overall, but his average (.267) and OPS (.824) have declined since a trade-deadline swap from the Baltimore Orioles to the Los Angeles Dodgers. Both players will get paid. Neither is likely to crack the $500 million threshold. What about Trout? You don't need his resume, but we'll supply it anyway. Between 2012 and today, he has made seven All-Star appearances, won a pair of American League MVP awards and amassed 63.7 WAR by FanGraphs' calculation. The next-highest WAR totals during that span belong to Andrew McCutchen (36.3) and Josh Donaldson (36.2). Trout is almost literally lapping the field. This year, he's launched 38 home runs and leads both leagues with a 1.093 OPS.Oh, and the guy celebrated his 27th birthday on August 7. Technically he's just entering his prime.Mike Stone/Associated PressOK, Trout is great. That's not news to anybody. How does his greatness translate to a $500 million payday?Let's turn to Fancred's Jon Heyman, who reported that, "The Angels are expected to try again to make Mike Trout a lifetime Angel when they discuss a contract this winter, and one rival agent suggested Trout's agent would be wise to wait until free agents Bryce Harper and Manny Machado are signed to provide the floor."Yes, you read that right. Harper and Machado will be the floor. The Halos will pay Trout $33.25 million in 2019 and 2020. Barring a shocking trade, he'll remain in Anaheim for the next two seasons. After that Tommy Hunter Jersey , he could become the most coveted free agent in baseball history. Or, the Angels could lock him up for the long haul.In March 2014, Trout inked a six-year, $144.5 million extension with the Angels. It was a massive pact for a player who, at the time, had only a pair of full big league campaigns under his belt.It also displayed Trout's loyalty to the franchise that drafted him 25th overall in 2009.Will that loyalty lead him to another, larger, lifetime deal in the $500M range?Maybe. Here's the fly in the ointment: Trout has the hardware and individual accolades but doesn't have postseason success.Ted S. Warren/Associated PressTrout has played in a scant three playoff games, all losses. In 12 at-bats on the game's brightest stage, he's managed just a single hit plus three walks. In typical Trout fashion, the hit was a home run, but that's still a minuscule sample size."Obviously I want to win," Trout said recently, per Jeff Fletcher of the Orange County Register. "It's not a good feeling being in early September and you're out of it. It's definitely in the back of my mind, but you've got to trust the front office."The Angels made moves last winter. Most notably, they signed two-way Japanese star Shohei Ohtani, who has been derailed by elbow problems but has displayed tantalizing power and pitching prowess this season.Despite the Angels' futility Will Middlebrooks Jersey , there is a world where Trout sticks with them and finally makes a run.MLB might wish he'd go to a more high-profile club; up the I-5 freeway to the Los Angeles Dodgers or across the country to the New York Yankees. Earlier this season, Commissioner Rob Manfred all but said Trout was squandering his opportunity as the game's pre-eminent star. That's never been Trout's style, however. He's not flashy. He doesn't covet the spotlight. The Angels seem prepared to offer him untold riches to keep wearing their uniform. And nothing in Trout's brilliant, understated career indicates he'd say no.It's silly to suggest a player could humbly accept a half-billion dollars. But if anyone can do it, it's Mike Trout. All statistics and contract information current entering play Wednesday and courtesy of Baseball Reference and FanGraphs. CARACAS, Venezuela (AP) — Former major league players Luis Valbuena and Jose Castillo were killed in a car crash in Venezuela caused by highway bandits who then robbed them, officials said Friday. The 33-year-old Valbuena and 37-year-old Castillo died late Thursday when their SUV crashed as it tried to veer around an object on the road, Yaracuy state Gov. Julio Leon Heredia said on his Twitter account. Officials said some bandits place or throw objects on highways to force vehicles to stop or crash so they can rob the occupants.Heredia said four people have been detained after being found with property of the athletes.Valbuena and Castillo were teammates on the Cardenales de Lara team in the Venezuelan winter league and were returning from a game in the capital when the crash occurred en route to the city of Barquisimeto.Third baseman Carlos Rivero was in the car and survived, according to the website beisbolplay.Valbuena, an 11-year major league veteran, hit .199 with nine homers and 33 RBIs in 96 games this year for the Los Angeles Angels, who released him on Aug. 7.“I will miss Luis’ banter, smile, genuine love for his teammates, and, of course, the bat flips Francisco Rodriguez Jersey ,” Astros manager AJ Hinch said in a statement. “He was a beloved person whether he was on our team or across the field.”Valbuena hit .226 with 114 home runs over 11 big league seasons with the Angels, Seattle, Cleveland, the Chicago Cubs and Houston.“Luis was always smiling and was one of the happiest players in baseball,” Astros general manager Jeff Luhnow said in a statement. “He provided joy to his teammates and our fans. He helped our franchise turn a corner in 2015 and provided many cherished memories.”Castillo played five seasons with Pittsburgh, San Francisco and Houston. He had a .254 average with 39 home runs.Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro said in a tweet that “I join in the mourning that has overwhelmed the Venezuelan baseball family and all of its fans.”Baseball Commissioner Rob Manfred issued a statement calling it “a very sad day for our sport.”“It is clear by all the stories today that they loved baseball and made an impact on their teammates and the Clubs they represented,” he said, expressing “my deepest condolences to their families, friends and fans, particularly those in their native Venezuela.”By late Friday afternoon, the coffins with the players’ bodies had arrived in Antonio Herrera Gutierrez stadium in Barquisimeto where they were received amid tears by their teammates. A Mass was held to bid them good bye.The Venezuelan Professional Baseball League announced that all three scheduled games Friday were cancelled and it said flags will fly at half-staff in all stadiums for three days.League president Juan Jose Avila told Union Radio that he was evaluating the possibility of forbidding players from traveling in private cars to move between games, saying if the players had been on the team bus, “nothing would have happened to them.”Venezuelan teams tend to travel in buses protected by security forces.
Los Angeles Rams vs. Los Angeles Chargers: who understands what its like to have your home team ripped from you by ownership and out of respect to our friends in San Diego and the travesty they have been forced to endure http://www.authenticslosangelesrams.com/cheap-lamarcus-joyner-jersey , the Los Angeles Chargers will be referred as “Spanos’ Chargers.”OverviewThe Los Angeles Rams come off an impressive dominating performance against the Arizona Cardinals now face the Spanos’ Chargers this Sunday.Let there be no mistake. The Rams’ defense is going to be challenged as the Chargers have one of the better offenses in the league led by QB Philip Rivers, RB Melvin Gordon and WRs Keenan Allen and Mike Williams. In order for the Rams to win this game, the Rams defense has to keep the Chargers to under 20 points. The Spanos’ Chargers defense will be without all pro DE Joey Bosa so I would expect the Rams to score their league average of 33 points.Absent turnovers and unforced penalties assuming the Rams’ offense and defense play up to their expectations, there is no reason they shouldn’t come out with a win.The Rams cannot take the Chargers lightly even though they are coming off of an unimpressive win against the Buffalo Bills who started rookie quarterback Josh Allen. That came off the back of a humiliating ten-point loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chargers just aren’t same team on defense without Bosa. The unit ranks 9th in yards allowed per game, 13th against the rush and 14th against the pass, compared to the Rams offense which ranks 7th in yards per game, 10th in rushing and 13th in passing. I know that Rams Head Coach Sean McVay will come up with a gameplan which will put up the points needed for victory so I’m not concerned about that. What the Rams need to do on offenseRam fans know that the offense is all about RB Todd Gurley. Todd didn’t have a great rushing game against the Cardinals last week, but numbers can be misleading. He’s a force that must be accounted for whether its on the ground or in the passing game. The Rams need to get Todd going early again. The Rams offensive line, which has been one of the best in the league thus far in 2018, needs to do a better job of opening up lanes for Todd to go through which they didn’t do terribly well last week against the Arizona. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that this issue will get fixed this week. But the key to offensive production will be what the Rams do on third down. To me the most important offensive stat is third down efficiency. Great teams make the crucial third down needed to keep drives going. The Rams performed exquisitely on third downs last week against the Cards by the Rams with QB Jared Goff and his outstanding group of WRs: Brandin Cooks, Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods. This unit made some terrific catches which kept critical offensive drives alive. When defenses are forced to crowd the first down marker on third down due to consistency, invariably big plays open up for bigger gains. The Rams need to continue from where they left off last week. It starts with good protection and a running game leading to third and short allowing for easy makeable first downs.I would like the Rams to have long drives in this game in order to keep the Spanos’ Chargers’ offense off the field. As long as the offense stays away from the turnovers and penalties taking time off the clock, the Rams offense will score points. And it all starts with Gurley. If the Rams can get him going in the run game, then these long drives are guaranteed success. What the Rams need to do on defenseAs long as the Rams keep RB Melvin Gordon in check on the ground, I don’t expect the Chargers to rely on a dink and dunk passing game. This is because they have one of strongest and fearless quarterbacks in the NFL: Philip Rivers. He’s not afraid to take a hit. That being the case http://www.authenticslosangelesrams.com/cheap-johnny-hekker-jersey , its time for our “Fearsome Threesome” to step up on the defensive line. The Rams are still looking for that edge rusher, and this is game where the Rams need to find that guy. Without a edge rush, the Rams could well be vulnerable to the pass, but I have the upmost confidence in Defensive Coordinator Wade Phillips who has a lot familiarity with the Chargers offense being the former defensive coordinator for fellow AFC West brethren Denver Broncos, Wade knows how to stop the Chargers. It’s also a bit of “pick your poison” between CBs Aqib Talib and Marcus Peters both ofwhom also came out the AFC West. It’s important for the Rams’ secondary to blanket the Chargers receiving corps. When the coverage is there and the rush develops, look for the Rams to finally breakout of the sack slump. In my youth, the San Francisco 49ers used to have a quarterback named John Brodie. My mother used to call him “Rabbit Ears.” The reason she coined this nickname for him was his tendency to allow his emotions to affect his game play. The one thing that got Brodie riled up was the great Los Angeles Rams DE Deacon Jones. When he got to Brodie, it was game over. Brodie would yell at his offensive line and wide receivers and he’d then throw his helmet off as he stormed off the field onto the bench.I have watched Phillip Rivers for a long time. To me, this is one flaw in his game, and it’s a big one. He doesn’t know how to control his emotions just like Brodie.Once he gets off his game because of the rush, takes a sack, throws a bad ball or an interception, he blames everyone except himself. He starts complaining and loses focus of the job at hand. This is what separates him from QB Tom Brady. Brady gets mad, yells at players and coaches, but that’s it. He gets it out right then and there. He doesn’t allow his emotions to carry over into the next series. That’s not the case with Rivers. If the Rams defense can control the ground game http://www.authenticslosangelesrams.com/cheap-rodger-saffold-jersey , limit the “dink and dunk” with tackles a the point of contact, and the Rams “Fearsome Threesome” can be fully unleashed upon Rivers, THIS GAME IS IN THE BAG. By forcing the bad throws down the field, getting those sacks causes Rivers to become very uncomfortable in the pocket. Once that happens, Rivers unravels. His temper flares up. This is exactly what the Rams defense must do against one of the better offenses in the NFL, and this is what excites me the most about this game. The fact that its time to unleash our monster defensive line headed by DT Aaron Donald, Michael Brockers and Ndamukong Suh upon Rivers. “Down Goes Rivers!’ And on the next series “Down Goes Rivers!” And the series after that “Down Goes Rivers!” and there’s nothing the Chargers offensive line can do to stop it.What the Rams need to do on special teamsI’m not too concerned with the Rams’ special teams. Having seen replacement K Sam Ficken perform last year coming in for starting K Greg Zuerlein, I believe he’s a competent kicker.I also know that P Johnny Hekker is the best in the league. If the Rams’ offense struggles, he will kick those beautiful punts inside the ten-yard line. The one performance which has to be duplicated is PR JoJo Natson getting big returns. If JoJo does as well as he did last week, the Rams are in a good spot to win this game comfortably. If not, it will be up the offense and defense to perform to the levels Ram fans are accustomed too.The Chargers have had their issues in special teams under Head Coach Anthony Lynn. Although the team has made improvement, it’s not enough. We got John “Bones” Fassel. The X-factorsThe Spanos’ Chargers play this game up as #FightForLA. While the Chargers may be fighting for Los Angeles, the Rams are battling for the Super Bowl. There is no love lost between the management of the Rams and the Chargers.Dean Spanos tried to block the Rams from coming home to Los Angeles. Then when he lost that, he horned in the Rams new stadium and moved the team after 56 years from San Diego.I don’t like the Chargers one bit, neither do my fellow diehards. All polls indicated that close to 70% of Los Angeles align themselves with the Rams and not the Chargers. The simple reason is this: They don’t belong here. They belong in San Diego.Players don’t get too involved in all this hype between managements White Ramik Wilson Jersey , but a part of this does carry over in how the game is approached. If your focus is on winning the Fight for Los Angeles rather then on the Super Bowl, you’ve lost the battle already. There are going to be plenty of Rams fans in the Coliseum this Sunday. The “Save the Bolts” crew will have airplanes flying over head with derogatory banners directed towards Spanos. Since arriving in southern California, the Spanos’ Chargers get more fans in the StubHub stands rooting for the opponents as they do being an unwelcome home team. This game means a lot to Rams management, although they will never say it publically, they’re too classy for that. That’s where the Rams fans step in and let the Spanos’s Chargers know they’re not welcome in Los Angeles, whether its DTLA, Costa Mesa or Inglewood.I would like nothing better then to see my Los Angeles Rams, the only team which really represents the heart and sole of Angelenos destroy the Chargers. That might be a big challenge, but there’s no reason my Rams can’t send the message to Spanos’ Chargers that they should leave Los Angeles while the team has some dignity left. I might even feel sorry enough them to help pack their bags. But probably not.GO RAMS! The Los Angeles Rams came up short today on the road against a very good New Orleans Saints team. The score doesn’t matter. The outcome doesn’t really either if you look at the context. These were two damn good teams battling it out. And neither team is going to win every single one of these. This sport isn’t set up this way.And look at the bright side. The Rams get to learn from this adversity. They can take away lessons from this to apply to the playoffs when we might well see this Saints team in a much more important rematch. QB Jared Goff played very well. The O-line was spectacular throughout. And the defense fought to get the team back into the game after halftime despite having a bad game overall against, let’s be fair, a very good offensive Saints team. There’s not a ton of reason to feel bad about this. The Rams game into this game 8-0 for the first time since the 1960s. They fought to put up a hell of a show against one of the league’s best. The goal was never to go 16-0. And this loss might have helped the 2018 LA Rams reach their goal moreso than a win would have.Onward and upward.
that must be repaired by a doctor Authentic John Johnson Jersey , the surgery is always a success, and the rehab is always ahead of schedule. Even when it’s not.Rams coach Sean McVay explained to reporters on Friday night that receiver Cooper Kupp‘s ACL surgery has happened, and that it was a success.“It went really well,” McVay said. “He called right afterwards and he was in great spirits. I know if anybody is going to attack the rehab process the right way, it’s going to be Cooper Kupp. Fortunately, some of the things when you do get in there, none of the other things that sometimes can delay that rehab process were affected. It was a clean surgery Authentic Cooper Kupp Jersey , did a good job repairing that and we expect him to be able to make a good recovery. Looking forward to getting him back.”McVay seems to be as honest, authentic, and candid as any coach can ever be. Still, no one really knows how an ACL recovery and rehab will unfold. Some go incredibly well; some simply don’t.In many cases, it takes a full year to get back to 100 percent. Plenty of players are able to return to football activities sooner than that. For Kupp, the goal undoubtedly will be to have him ready by the start of training camp. ge at punter. A competition brewed between incumbent Colton Schmidt and undrafted rookie Cory Carter. After the latter tore his ACL during the preseason http://www.billsfootballauthentics.com/jeremy-kerley-jersey-authentic , the Bills kept the former until the beginning of September, when they claimed Corey Bojorquez off waivers. This kind of shuffling was commonplace for the Bills with regard to their punters this past season, and it served as a microcosm of the special teams struggles the team faced during the season. Rick Gosselin of The Dallas Morning News ranked the Bills 31st in his annual special teams rankings. That is far from the best they’ve ever had, as Buffalo typically has some success in the third aspect of the game.As a result of a poor year on special teams, the Bills parted ways with coach Danny Crossman, who had been in charge of the unit since Doug Marrone started in Buffalo in 2013. With such a poor showing, one might expect there to be plenty of changes to the unit; however, that seems unlikely given the Bills’ level of talent at two of the three “specialist” positions in the game.In our final installment of the state of the Bills roster, we profile the special teams, a unit that was terrible in 2018, but has plenty of bounce-back potential in 2019.Stephen HauschkaContract status for 2019: Signed; $3.25 million cap hit ($1 million dead cap if cut)Age: 33 (34 on 6/29/19)Playing time: 16 games, 122 ST snaps (27.79%)Key statistics: 22/28 FGs (78.6%), 25/26 PAT (96.2%), 66 kickoffs, 30 touchbacks, 34 kick returns allowed, 754 kick return yards allowedHauschka’s season should really be divided into two parts: Weeks 1 through 13, and Weeks 14 through 17. Why the delineation? Well, Hauschka was having a typically sound year through Buffalo’s loss to the Miami Dolphins, having hit on 17-of-19 field goals and 15-of-16 extra points. After he was leveled by defensive lineman Henry Anderson of the New York Jets just prior to halftime in Week 14, Hauschka was clearly hindered for the rest of the year. He made only five field goals in nine attempts to end the year, and he even missed a pair of 42-yard kicks short over that time. Hauschka was perfect on extra points, but it was obvious that he was hurt. Assuming that he regains his health after an off-season full of rest, he should be back to himself next year. Carrying a $3.25 million cap hit in the final year of his deal http://www.billsfootballauthentics.com/lorenzo-alexander-jersey-authentic , it’s possible that the Bills will look for some younger competition, especially if he struggles early in camp. However, the great likelihood is that Hausch-money will return for one last year.Reid FergusonContract status for 2019: Signed; terms of his three-year deal signed on 1/28 are not yet known) Age: 24 (25 on 3/24/19)Playing time: 16 games, 142 ST snaps (32.35%)Key statistics: 3 tacklesFerguson was set to be an exclusive-rights free agent, meaning that the Bills could have retained his services for the minimum salary for a player with his amount of service time. Instead, the Bills signed their long snapper to a three-year extension, thereby buying out his last two years of team control via the ERFA/RFA system. It’s a tremendous vote of confidence in Ferguson, who has held the long snapper job for the last two seasons after joining the Bills as an undrafted free agent in 2016, but his salary probably isn’t much different than it would have been under the ERFA and RFA tenders.Corey BojorquezContract status for 2019: Signed; $570,000 cap hit ($0 guaranteed) Age: 22 (23 on 9/13/19)Playing time: 8 games, 69 ST snaps (15.72%)Key statistics: 45 punts, 45.1 yards per punt, 39.4 net yards per punt, 1 punt blocked, 4 touchbacks, 22 punts inside the 20, 20 punt returns allowed, 137 punt return yards allowedBojorquez was released by the New England Patriots after the preseason, and Buffalo quickly added him to the roster. He was the team’s punter for the first half of the season, and he was average overall. His gross punt average of 45.1 yards per punt was 17th in the league, and his net average of 39.4 yards per punt was 21st, according to Football Database. Neither of those rankings should provide him with ultimate job security, and a battle with another Cory looms for the preseason. Bojorquez ended the year on injured reserve due to a shoulder injury he suffered on a fake field goal that wasn’t supposed to be a fake field goal against the Tennessee Titans. Although he was hurt in Week 5, he lasted through the Bills’ Week 8 loss to the Patriots before being placed on injured reserve.Cory CarterContract status for 2019: Signed; $496 http://www.billsfootballauthentics.com/charles-clay-jersey-authentic ,000 cap hit ($1,000 dead cap if cut)Age: 24 (25 on 3/5/19)Playing time: N/A; injured in preseason (torn ACL)Key statistics: N/ACarter was in the midst of a competition with Colton Schmidt over the summer, a competition which the younger punter probably had won, before an ACL tear against the Cleveland Browns in the second preseason game ended his bid for the gig. Carter punted three times and averaged 48 yards per kick in the preseason. He has a big leg and will certainly give his fellow Corey a run for his money this summer.Matt DarrContract status for 2019: Unsigned; ERFAAge: 26 (27 on 7/2/19)Playing time: 5 games, 43 ST snaps (9.79%)Key statistics: 20 punts, 40.5 yards per punt, 36.2 net yards per punt, 1 touchback, 5 punts inside the 20, 8 punt returns allowed, 64 punt return yards allowedThe Bills’ third punter used in a regular-season game was the least effective, booting duck after duck throughout his month-plus with the team. Darr had last punted in the NFL in 2016, and the rust was evident when he returned to the league this year. Although he is an ERFA, I expect that the Bills will not tender him at the deadline.Positional OutlookFor a unit that performed poorly overall, I expect little change out of the main players. Hauschka is a prime candidate for replacement given his salary and his slide at the end of the season, but when he’s healthy, he is a good kicker who belongs in the NFL. He has had a good run overall with the Bills, and I expect that the team will keep him around. An improvement to the kick-coverage unit would help him to look better in that area of the game, as it appeared the Bills were trying to pin teams inside the 25-yard line rather than boot touchbacks for most of the year. That strategy backfired, as Hauschka allowed 754 kick return yards on only 34 attempts. That yardage total was ninth-most in the league last year.As for the punters, it should come down to a battle between Bojorquez and Carter, although it is entirely possible that the Bills release one (or both) and bring in someone completely different. With literally $1,000 guaranteed to all three punters on the current roster, Buffalo has the flexibility to do whatever they wish with the position. The long snapper spot is set http://www.billsfootballauthentics.com/phillip-gaines-jersey-authentic , given that they literally re-signed Ferguson at the beginning of the week. Barring an injury, he will man that position for the foreseeable future.Recap: Five Bills to watch against the Vikings The Buffalo Bills walked out of U.S. Bank Stadium on Sunday victorious, collecting a 27-6 win over the Minnesota Vikings—and the score doesn't do it justice. The Bills controlled nearly every aspect of the game, and each phase of the game built off one another. Some players made a larger impact than others. Below is our recap of the five players we told you to watch.QB Josh AllenAllen turned on the jets and took control of the offense the entire game. Going 15 for 22 passing with 196 yards and a touchdown, adding two more scores with his legs. He looked comfortable and decisive—and the game didn't get too big for him. There was one throw he likely wanted back, and it was the first deep ball to Robert Foster, which was underthrown by a few yards. You saw the same last week as well, when Allen threw a long completion to Zay Jones. Allen babies some of his throws when he needs to just trust himself. Still, if right now I can look at only one throw and say that it needs to be better, there isn't much to complain about. Josh Allen extends plays better than a lot of guys in the NFL already, including his opponent this past week: Kirk Cousins. WR Ray-Ray McCloud IIINot the welcoming party I thought McCloud would have, with just one catch for six yards early in the game and a punt return for 13 yards. I don't expect him to stay quiet for too long. As he gets healthier and more involved with the first team offense, Josh Allen will look his way. CB2Ryan Lewis, who was signed freshly off the New England Patriots’ practice squad and Lafayette Pitts were the two guys playing opposite Tre’Davious White. Most of the game they played well but we can credit a good pass rush for not allowing Cousins to sit back in the pocket for five seconds. Late in the game when the Bills were playing prevent defense, Adam Thielen brought in 14 catches for 105 yards. Ryan Lewis looked to be the better of the two. He made a couple of big tackles towards the boundary to force the Vikings in 3rd and long situations, leading them to punt. DT Star LotuleleiI could've sworn that I saw Lotulelei record his first tackle of the season, but the official stats from the team says no and he remains without a tackle through the first three games. For the third straight week, he saw a plethora of double teams, freeing up guys like Jerry Hughes and Trent Murphy with one-on-ones on the outside. The Vikings only ran the ball four times for 12 yards if you don't count Cousins trying to make something out of nothing. LB Lorenzo AlexanderAlexander only had one tackle for the game but much like Jerry Hughes, it doesn't tell the story. On pass-rush downs, the Bills like to line Alexander up in a 3-tech on the defensive interior—and he simply flourishes. His strength to bully guards back into their quarterback is impressive and it showed on Sunday. No sacks on the stat sheet, but the Vikings felt his presence when Cousins dropped back.
complete beat-down of the Miami Dolphins on Sunday http://www.buffalobillsteamonline.com/lorenzo-alexander-jersey , outscoring the Dolphins 28-3 in the second half to win 42-17 at New Era Field. Josh Allen scored five touchdowns, the defense generated four turnovers, and Williams caught his first career pass in the victory. The Bills sent Williams off with a standing ovation at the end of the victory, kneeling to give him one more appearance on the field and calling a timeout to allow the fans to recognize his career. Williams collected three tackles (one for a loss) on the day, but also showed his chops at wide receiver before the game was through. He ran a short out route, breaking through a jam at the line and bringing the ball up the sideline for a nine-yard gain.Allen came out red-hot to start the game, completing seven-of-eight passes for 100 yards and a touchdown. He slowed down in the second quarter, and threw his first career pick-six at the end of the half as the Dolphins caught up from a 14-0 deficit to 14-14, but kept making magic with his legs in the second half, and threw two more touchdown passes before the day was through. Allen finished 17/26 (65.4%) for 224 yards passing (8.62 yards per attempt), with three touchdowns against that interception. He showed off his wheels on the ground http://www.buffalobillsteamonline.com/jeremy-kerley-jersey , with nine carries for 95 yards and two touchdowns. In doing so, Allen set the franchise rushing record for a quarterback and tied the quarterback rushing touchdown record set by Jack Kemp in 1963, in only twelve games during his first NFL season. The Buffalo defense, supporting their team captain, was equally impressive today. They held Miami to 225 total yards on 57 plays, and ended both of Ryan Tannehill’s first two drives with interceptions. Tremaine Edmunds collected the baton from Williams, leading the team with 12 tackles, landing a sack, and collecting his second career interception. Jordan Phillips recovered a fumble against his former team, Trent Murphy landed on a botched Wildcat snap, and Tre’Davious White hauled in Buffalo’s second interception on the day. Miami’s longest play was a 19-yard pass completion to Kenyan Drake. The only weak notes were Buffalo’s special teams unit http://www.buffalobillsteamonline.com/jerry-hughes-jersey , again. Stephen Hauschka missed a 42-yard kick short, still clearly affected by the back injury suffered earlier this season. Matt Darr only punted three times, but managed only 34 net yards per punt. This game also featured the second brawl featuring ejections in two years between these two teams. Last year Jarvis Landry started a fight with Jordan Poyer after scoring a touchdown, leading to two ejected Dolphins. This year, Kiko Alonso dove to tackle a sliding Allen and kicked him in the head, igniting another brawl. Alonso, Bills tackle Jordan Mills, and Dolphins defensive end Robert Quinn were ejected in this one.NotesTre’Davious White left the game with a head injury after a poorly-executed tackle attempt. He did not return to the game.Robert Foster appeared to jam his finger on a Josh Allen fastball, but later returned to the game.Jordan Mills was ejected for his part in the third quarter fight. He was replaced by Conor McDermott.Zay Jones caught six passes for 93 yards and two touchdowns, making him Buffalo’s leading receiver on the day.Jones finished with a 56/652/7 receiving slash. This led the team, and was a huge improvement from year one Womens Matt Milano Jersey , but he doesn’t seem to be the number-one receiver this team needs. With four catches for 21 yards and a touchdown, Robert Foster finishes with 27/541/3. That makes him Buffalo’s second-leading receiver this year.Foster almost managed to have more yards and more touchdowns than Kelvin Benjamin managed in twice as many games with the team. Benjamin had 571 yards and two touchdowns for the Bills. For the first time in team history, the leading passer and the leading rusher were the same person (Josh Allen).Allen improved his passing stats, but finished the year with ten touchdowns against 12 interceptions. He did add eight more touchdowns on the ground, though.Allen’s finale helped Buffalo’s awful aggregate passing stats for the season. The team still finished with 13 touchdowns against 24 interceptions, which is easily bottom-five in franchise history.
